A Netflix star has been confirmed dead after collapsing on a treadmill.
German Netflix actor and bodybuilder Vittorio Pirbazari, 44, tragically died while working out at a gym, reportedly collapsing on a treadmill.
His death occurred just one day after sharing a final selfie with his followers.
Pirbazari, well-known for portraying a villain in the Netflix series Dogs of Berlin, died on Monday.
His friend and fellow actor Said Ibrahim confirmed the devastating news via Instagram, describing him as having ‘a soft heart like a ten-year-old.’
Earlier this year, the actor underwent surgery after tearing his right pectoral muscle, sharing his recovery journey with his 90,700 Instagram followers.
However, he faced another major setback when he survived a near-fatal car accident, which left him with a fractured vertebra, tissue damage, and severe leg injuries that required stitches.
Following a 12-week break from training, he returned to the gym on March 23.
On March 30, just one day before his untimely death, he posted a selfie reflecting on his physical condition post-recovery.
He wrote: “My current form after 12 weeks without exercise or much exercise. Of course, it’s no comparison to before, but I’m on the right track given the circumstances.”
In his final Instagram post, Pirbazari emphasized his determination, stating: “The only thing that’s important to me right now is not to give up and to let go, and to get better day by day, week by week.”
Pirbazari gained fame in the fitness industry as a member of the Hardgainer Crew, a group of well-known fitness YouTubers.
His channel, which amassed over 200,000 subscribers, helped establish his presence in the bodybuilding world before he shifted focus to acting.
His role in Dogs of Berlin brought him wider recognition, especially after an image from the show, featuring him in a tense scene with a police officer, went viral.
The actor had been working on regaining his fitness after his accident, mentioning in a recent post that he was prioritizing leg training and cardio.
He noted that he was taking things slowly due to his injuries but was optimistic about rebuilding his strength.
Pirbazari is survived by his girlfriend and young son, born in 2020.
Fans and followers have flooded the comments section of his last post with messages of condolence, mourning the loss of the actor and fitness enthusiast.
Although Ibrahim suggested that Pirbazari may have suffered a heart attack during his workout, official confirmation is still pending.
The exact cause of his sudden passing remains uncertain, as German authorities have not yet provided official details regarding the incident.
